Steve Kroll

Our co-worker Steve Kroll passed away on May 4, 2012. Steve worked for Sue Vinje Trucking, Inc. in which he was a dedicated employee from August 2008 through his sudden illness in February and death.

Steve took pride in his career of being a professional over the road truck driver accomplishing safety & performance bonuses.

Through our driver suggestion program Steve was the founder of "The Book Exchange". It started by Steve leaving several books he had already read in the book exchange basket in our driver room. He had us put in the company newsletter that if others had books to exchange for them to leave in the basket and to look through the books and if they found their kind of reading to feel comfortable taking the book/books. The Book Exchange has been very successful.

Steve developed many friendships with his co-workers; he will be missed by his co-workers and the staff at Sue Vinje Trucking, Inc.

We would also like to acknowledge the dedication from Cal Nelson & Dave Bell the team that so willingly helped when Steve became ill in California. Cal & Dave rescued Steve's tractor / trailer, made the delivery, reloaded the truck and got the truck back to Superior while Steve was in the hospital in California. Steve was released from the hospital in California a few days later and took a plane home.
